Supervised Agricultural Experience:

I participate in a Placement Based Supervised Agricultural Experience. I work part time at Beanstalk, a woodworking company. Originally, it began as a favor to Dee Hodges, a close friend of my family. I began volunteering with her company because she needed help developing wood art. However, they did hire me as an employee after I gained a better understanding of their operation. At Beanstalk, I am now responsible for painting, staining, assembling the product, and adding finishing touches. I also travel with them around the southeast to sell their products at various craft shows.

Career Development/Leadership/Talent Event(s):

I’ve competed in Creed Speaking, Forestry, and Envirothon

Major FFA Accomplishments:

My major FFA accomplishment has to be the time I placed second at state in the Envirothon competition. It was our second year competing so we were still learning the ropes, but we worked hard and overcame the adversity.

Favorite Book:

My favorite book is the Percy Jackson series. I’ve loved it ever since I was a kid and it allowed me to connect with one of my very best friends.

Favorite Movie:

My favorite movie is Bedtime Stories. When I was a kid my cousins and I would all pile up and watch that movie. I always thought it was so magical and it showed me I can do anything I put my mind to.

Favorite Meal:

One of my favorite meals is the chicken Alfredo that my mom makes. I love it because it’s quick and easy and something that we can make together.

Favorite Quote:

“Even when we can’t control the situations around us, we can always choose where we’re directing our attention.” – Liz Stanley, PHD

Favorite Song:

Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey

Favorite thing about the FFA:

My favorite thing about FFA is that we are able to connect with members all over the united states and make life-long friendships over our love for agriculture.

Favorite FFA Memory:

My favorite FFA memory would have to be my first national convention. One day I was walking down FFA Way and I looked around and saw 60,000 other FFA members in official dress. At that moment I found my love and passion for FFA and I saw that we are all united under one jacket and it felt like I belonged.

College Plans:

I’m currently attending Enterprise State Community College and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College to pursue a degree in Agricultural Education.
