Supervised Agricultural Experience:

My Supervised Agricultural Experience is Agricultural Education. I chose this SAE because of the experience and knowledge that I have gained from the agriscience classes that I have taken. I would like to help younger students better develop those same knowledge and skills.  I am a teacher’s aide for the seventh grade class and, in doing so, I cover the FFA components, as well as the environmental science section. I started my SAE with the hope of influencing and teaching younger students. I have observed my advisor and learned from him on how to properly teach and develop lesson-plans. After I gained more responsibility, I developed my own lesson-plan to teach the seventh grade Introduction to Agriculture class. I am also in charge of organizing Quiz Bowl and Creed Speaking practices for my chapter. I work very diligently with all of the students involved and aspire to help them experience all that FFA offers. My favorite part of my SAE is seeing students develop the same passion for Agriculture that I have.

Career Development/Leadership/Talent Event(s):

I have competed in the Land Evaluation Career Development Event for four years, placing fifth in the state this past year. I competed in the Prepared Public Speaking Leadership development event for two years and placed fourth in the state in 2020. Additionally, I had the opportunity to compete in Creed Speaking at the state level.

Major FFA Accomplishments:

My major FFA accomplishments include receiving first place in the state for my Agricultural Education proficiency, serving one year as a North District Officer, and being elected State Treasurer.

Favorite Book:

My favorite book is The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe written by C.S Lewis. I read this in my seventh grade English class and have loved it ever since.

Favorite Movie:

My favorite movie is Back to the Future. After accidentally going back in time and messing things up Marty McFly has to go back in time to ensure his teenage parents meet. He does this in a time machine invented by Dr. “Doc” Brown.

Favorite Meal:

My favorite meal consists of grilled chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes with sweet tea.

Favorite Quote:

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it.” -William Aruthr Ward

Favorite Song:

I constantly find myself having a new favorite song, but I am always a fan of country music!

Favorite thing about FFA:

My favorite thing about FFA is the relationships I have built. It has given me a second family with people I would not have met without this organization. I will always be grateful for that.

Favorite FFA Memory:

During ninth grade I had the opportunity to go to the National Convention with my chapter’s livestock team. I remember walking up to the convention center and seeing all the blue corduroy jackets. It made me proud to see this and know that I was a part of something that impacted the lives of others positively. The excitement this gave me has proved to be one of my favorite FFA memories.

College Plans:

I plan to attend the University of Auburn, where I will obtain a degree in Agriscience Education.
