July 30, 2025Supervised Agricultural Experience:
My Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is in Agricultural Education, which has allowed me to share my passion for agriculture and education with others, especially with students in my school. I have experience being a teacher’s assistant both on the farm and in the classroom. And those experiences are what my SAE is solely based on.
Career Development Events / Leadership Development Events:
Throughout my time in FFA, I’ve competed in several Career Development Events (CDEs), including Livestock Judging, Land Judging, and Dairy Judging. I’ve also been involved in Leadership Development Events (LDEs) such as Discussion Meet and Creed Speaking.
Major FFA Accomplishments:
Some of my biggest accomplishments in FFA have been earning top placements in several competitive events at both the district and state levels. I placed 4th in the state for the Discussion Meet LDE, showcasing my leadership and communication skills. At the 2024 Southeastern Livestock Exposition (SLE), I was the top scorer in the South District. I was also on three state-placing CDE teams during my senior year, which placed 4th in Dairy Judging, 5th in Land Judging, and 5th in Livestock Judging. These achievements highlight my dedication, versatility, and passion for FFA.
Favorite Book:
My favorite book is the Bible, specifically the Christian Standard Version (CSV). I appreciate this translation for its balance of accuracy and readability, making it easier to understand while staying true to the original text. The Bible has been a constant source of guidance, encouragement, and strength in my life. Its teachings shape my values, help me navigate challenges, and remind me of the importance of faith, love, and perseverance. Whether I’m reading a verse for inspiration or studying a passage more deeply, the Bible continues to have a profound impact on me in meaningful ways every day.
Favorite Movie:
My favorite movie is Urban Cowboy because it’s something my dad and I both love and bond over. Watching it together brings back great memories and gives us a chance to connect over our shared appreciation for country music, rodeo culture, and classic films. It’s more than just a movie to us—it’s a tradition that reminds me of the values we both admire, like hard work, resilience, and staying true to who you are.
Favorite Meal:
My favorite meal is a double bacon cheeseburger with fries. There’s just something unbeatable about the combination of juicy beef, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a toasted bun. Paired with hot, salty fries, it’s the perfect comfort food. Whether I’m grabbing one from my favorite diner or grilling it at home, it’s the kind of meal that always hits the spot.
Favorite Quote:
My favorite quote is “Be curious, not judgmental” from Ted Lasso, because it reflects how I try to live my life. I love getting to know people for who they are, rather than making assumptions based on their appearance. This quote reminds me to stay open-minded, ask questions, and genuinely listen. Everyone has a story, and I believe that being curious helps build stronger, more meaningful connections.
Favorite Song:
My favorite song is “Midnight Rider” by Hank Williams Jr. because I’ve always been a big fan of him as an artist. His style, voice, and energy speak to me, and this song always makes me want to jam. There’s something about the rhythm and attitude of “Midnight Rider” that instantly puts me in a good mood and gets me singing along every time.
Favorite Thing about FFA:
FFA has given me so many amazing memories and opportunities, but my favorite part has always been the relationships members build with each other. I have personally made many lifelong friends throughout my FFA career. I love to see members being friendly and kind to one another. It truly warms my heart.
Favorite FFA Memory:
My favorite FFA memory is attending the National FFA Convention as a freshman—it truly opened my eyes to the scale and impact of this amazing organization. Being surrounded by thousands of members from all over the country was inspiring and showed me just how big the FFA community is. It was an unforgettable experience that motivated me to stay involved, work hard, and take advantage of every opportunity FFA has to offer. It was also one of the many reasons that I decided to run for state office.
College Plans:
Looking ahead, I plan to attend Wallace Community College to earn an Associate of Science degree, then transfer to Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Agricultural Engineering. I am excited for what the future holds and grateful for everything FFA has taught me.
