Supervised Agricultural Experience:

My SAE is in equine science and is paid placement. I work as a barn assistant for a local equine boarding facility known as potter farms. My daily tasks include exercising the equine and upkeep of the barn.

My Hobbies:

My hobbies include coloring and western style riding.

Most excited for:

I am most excited about chapter visits and the opportunity to create relationships with members.

My favorite song:

My favorite song is Dancing shaggin on the boulevard by the Alabama band. Every time I hear this song I am reminded of my summers spent at the beach with my family. Whenever I need to remind myself to soak in life’s moments to the fullest I listen to this song because it is a reminder of how peaceful life can be even through the chaos.

My favorite thing about FFA:

My favorite thing about FFA is the variety of opportunities it presents. I have always compared FFA to a highway because everyone is welcome and can find their own special place. Throughout my time as a member I have connected with people all over, and discovered my passion for agriculture.

Favorite Book:

My favorite book is Caraval by Stephanie Garber.

Favorite Movie:

My favorite movie is the Hunger Games Trilogy.

Favorite Food:

My favorite food is cupcakes.

Favorite Quote:

My favorite quote is ‘talent isn’t genius, and no amount of energy can make it so. I want to be great, or nothing.’ From little women by Louisa May Alcott.

Favorite Song:

My favorite song is “In Color” by Jamey Johnson. Every time I hear it, I’m reminded of my great-grandmother and great-grandfather, two of my favorite people. The song’s story and emotions bring back memories of stories my great-grandfather tells to this day about life’s ups and downs, and how it was for them before it could be recorded. It’s a meaningful song that connects me to my family and helps me appreciate the past and the lessons they’ve shared.

Favorite Thing About FFA:

My favorite thing about FFA is the community. Playing sports my whole life I’ve never been in “the crowd” and often felt out of place. It wasn’t until I joined FFA that I really found my place. FFA is special in that there is no “crowd” or “click” ; it’s just over a million people nationwide who share the same interests and values that we all know and love. I thank the Lord everyday that he led me and so many others into this amazing Organization.

Favorite FFA Memory:

My favorite memory of FFA is attending my first state convention in eighth grade. At the time becoming a state officer felt like a far-off goal. I remember watching Hayden Stell serve the state association and the kindness he showed to every member.

College Plans:

My future plans include attending Mississippi State University to become a large animal veterinarian and specializing in equine.
