Supervised Agricultural Experience: 

My supervised agricultural experience is my world. I love my animals, my business and the industry with my whole heart. I started my SAE’s in the eighth grade but grew up on my family’s diversified livestock operation. Im raise and sell poultry, swine and beef as well as collect and sell honey from our honey bees. My poultry flock consists of a variety of approximately 40 birds. I help my family manage our Semi/Angus beef herd. This has taught me marketing skills because we sell our market steers in quarters, halves, and whole cuts. We have 5 honeybee hives and we sell honey at our local markets. Lastly, I own my own business called ‘ Sweet South Show Pigs’ where I raise, breed, and sell crossbred show swine. I also assist younger showmen grow their knowledge in showmanship and feeding methods. I hope to help other kids find their love for agriculture like I did.

Career Development/Leadership/Talent Events:

I have competed in several different LDEs and CDEs of the course of my FFA Career. I have competed in Livestock Evaluation for 4 years. I also competed in Creed Speaking as a 9th and 10th grader. I also have competed in Vet Science, Ag Construction, Dairy Judging, and Discussion Meet.

Major FFA Accomplishments:

My major FFA  accomplishments include, placing 1st overall in the Swine Division at the  SLE Livestock Evaluation Contest, serving as South District Treasurer, and being elected State Treasurer.

Favorite Book:

My favorite book is “A Child Called It” by Dave Pelzer. This book is based on a true story and it  shows how strength overcomes weakness.

Favorite Movie:

My favorite movie is “ 8 seconds”. I love how Lane Frost never lets fear make his choices and he never stops doing what he loves to do.

Favorite Meal: 

I love grilled shrimp, rice and french fries with a Propel “grape” water.

Favorite Song: 

For anyone who knows me, I should know I’m Lainey Wilson’s mini. I am always singing one of her songs, but my favorite is Heart Like A Truck.

Favorite thing about FFA:

My favorite thing about FFA is the blue corduroy jackets. No matter how different we all are, the blue jackets bring us together.

Favorite FFA Memory:

When I was a freshman waiting so nervously for the results of the 2020-2021 Dale County FFA Chapter Team. I found myself  to be the last one standing  and one position left. Being elected President as a high school freshman changed my life.

College Plans:

I plan to attend ABAC fall of 2024 and pursue a degree in Animal Science. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree I plan to transfer to Auburn to obtain my Veterinarian Medicine license and specialize in large animals.
