Supervised Agricultural Experience:

My SAE is an Agricultural Communications SAE. With this I have written articles about members in my chapter and many different events my chapter has done. I also have worked for a local radio company who I filmed for as well as working for a photography company.

Career Development/ Leadership/ Talent Event(s):

Throughout my time in FFA I have been fortunate to compete in many different career and leadership development events. I started out by competing in the quizbowl competition in middle school. Then when I became a high school member I joined the Land Evaluation team where me and my team won the state contest my 9th grade year. I have since competed in Floriculture, Forestry, Livestock Evaluation, and most recently Discussion Meet.

Major FFA Accomplishments:

In my FFA journey I have been fortunate to accomplish many things but two really stick out to me. The first one is when me and my land evaluation team got the opportunity to go to Oklahoma City to compete in the National Land and Range Judging Contest. I was able to get to explore a brand new place I had never been too with an amazing team and got to celebrate our accomplishment that whole trip. The second one is being able to now serve our great association as the State Vice President. This is by far my favorite and biggest accomplishment in FFA and I couldn’t think of a better way to repay this accomplishment by serving our great association!

Favorite Book:

My all time favorite book is “Hunger Games : Sunrise on the Reaping.” I can read this book over and over again without getting bored or burnt out.

Favorite Movie:

One movie that I can rewatch everyday for the rest of my life is the very first “Mamma Mia” movie. This movie is by far the best movie to ever exist in my opinion.

Favorite Meal:

If I ever had to only eat one type or style of food for the rest of my life it would be Mexican food with a glass of sweet tea.

Favorite Quote:

My favorite quote is actually a quote that I came up with recently because I was thinking about this year as a state officer and so I came up with “Life has challenges, Live your life optimistically.” The reason why this is my favorite is because its something that I have been trying to live by because to me life is like a road with potholes which are the challenges we face but its not about the fact that they are there on the road or that life will have challenges its about how we go about it. If there’s potholes on a road you slow down and focus on your driving which is exactly like life, if you have challenges you have to slow down and think about how to go around them, through them, and with a positive and optimistic outlook throughout the process.

Favorite Song:

My absolute favorite song is Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac. I listen to this song on repeat all the time.

Favorite Thing About FFA:

To me my absolute favorite thing about FFA is the community. This organization to me runs like a family. The way you can walk into an FFA event and its like you feel just at home and everyone is so warm and welcoming and the most absolute supportive group of people I think anyone could ever meet.

Favorite FFA Memory:

My favorite memory of all time is when I got the chance to go and compete at the National Land and Range Contest. I got the chance to spend an entire week with an amazing team and my advisor making so many fun memories ranging from Mrs. Stephens making us try lamb fries for the first time, which if you haven’t tried them I wouldn’t recommend, to me and my team doing an escape room together.

College Plans:

My college plans after high school are currently to attend ABAC. At ABAC I plan to major in Agriculture Education and Turf Grass Management.
