State/District Livestock Contest (SLE)

Registration for the 9^th Annual Southeastern Livestock Expo Livestock Judging Contest is now open. This year’s contest will be held Wednesday, March 6^th in Montgomery, AL and is open to 4H and FFA youth from all states, as well as 2-year and 4-year colleges. Rules and registration can be found here: SLE Livestock Judging Contest (slerodeo.com). Registration will close at 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 25^th. Please note there is no mail-in entry form this year, only online registrations will be accepted. Payment can still be made via check or credit card.

We are excited to offer junior colleges and universities something new in 2024: free booth space to promote your program. The SLE Livestock Judging Contest is a unique event for the state of Alabama to bring together hundreds of students that have similar skills and goals. We hope to continue to cultivate the students’ drive by showcasing other agricultural opportunities through our event. The SLE will be happy to provide a table for you to decorate to promote your College of Agriculture and Livestock Judging Team on March 6.  If you would like to showcase your junior college or university to the students attending our contest, please let me know prior to Monday, February 26^th.
