National FFA Week
January 14, 2025State Land Judging Contest
January 15, 2025Columbiana
See below link for the 2025 Alabama Envirothon registration form!
Please complete it at your earliest convenience, but no later than the 31st of January for the competition, and by the 15th of February for middle school training participants (more details below). As usual, all events are held at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana!
If you are still working out team or attendee specifics, just complete the form to the best of your ability- we can make adjustments to attendees later. Lodging on-site at the 4-H Center will be assigned as registration forms are received, and payment of registration fees will formally secure your spot. Be on the lookout for another email from me this week outlining the growth plan for the Alabama Envirothon program, including rollout and calendar of regional competitions, regional trainings, and other programmatic updates.
We did, ultimately, determine that a rollout for this year was going to be problematic due to the time associated with lining up new volunteers, locations, content, and establishing overall structure- not wanting to plunge you all into chaos, we elected to defer that for one additional year.
As a result, it is important for you to get your registrations and fees in early to ensure a slot!
For the Alabama Envirothon Competition:
Event dates: February 27th-March 1st, 2025
Your team registration of $1000 covers one adviser and five team members, but we are happy to accommodate additional advisors and alternate team members as we are able! The cost of each additional registration is $175.
New in 2025- Middle school training:
Event dates: February 26th-27th
This year, we are offering a middle school training event! Your individual registration fee of $150 covers the cost of on student or adult attendee (including meals, lodging, etc.) This event will begin with check-in at 10am on February 26th and conclude at 10am on February 27th! This pilot event is geared towards newly interested middle school teams who are interested in participating in the Alabama Envirothon in the future. They will participate in station training and hands-on activities, but will not undergo the testing or oral presentation components.
Middle school students in 2025 will not be permitted to participate in both the middle school training and the competition due to overlapping trainers and content.
Checks should be made payable to:
Alabama Association of Conservation Districts
302 Alabama Street
Montgomery, AL 36104
If your local Soil and Water Conservation District sponsors your team, you are still responsible for making initial contact with them, but they may reach out to me directly regarding payment. If you are still looking for sponsorship for your team, please reach out to me- we will do our best to connect you with a sponsor!

We look forward to seeing all of you very, very soon! Thank you for your patience with us, and especially with me, as we work through the rapid growth this program has seen over the last three years. I look forward to sharing some very exciting news with you later this week.
Best,
