Teacher Training Agenda December 1, 2020

Greetings Educators,

We are offering our last training of the year to become certified to credential students in the Forestry Worker CRI. We will be hosting an all-day 8 hour training on December 1^st, 2020 for up to 10 AG teachers/educators who would like to offer this credential to their students in the Spring 2021. This training is free of cost to attend and educators will leave with the curriculum, online resources and classroom set of textbooks upon passing the exam. We will host this training in our Conference Room at the Alabama Forestry Association in Montgomery. One question we always get is the cost for students to earn this credential so I find it important to let you know that this particular credential is of no cost to the students. It is our mission to provide the best resources and opportunities at little to no cost to our educators throughout the state and ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn about Forestry and related Career Fields as well as earn a credential. Non-AG Educators may also attend and earn a Class B Certification which will enable them to access the same resources but not the ability to credential students.

This CRI is offered through three different Programs of study: General Agriscience, Plant Systems and Environmental & Natural Resources Systems. If you currently offer any courses through those programs you may benefit from adding this Credential to your list!
